La película contará la historia de Martín y Sol, una joven pareja de músicos que realiza shows para turistas y que a duras penas llega a pagar el alquiler de su departamento. Pero además del amor, ambos comparten una inclinación a inventar historias sobre sus vecinos interpretando los sonidos que escuchan en el edificio. Una afición que los dejará convencidos de que en el piso de arriba se cometió un asesinato. Así, los dos protagonistas se convertirán en insólitos investigadores y terminarán metidos en toda clase de enredos y equívocos, en medio de una propuesta que homenajea en clave de comedia al género del policial negro.
